All the battery chargers listed here are fully automatic (i.e. they can be left permanently connected to the battery/batteries without overcharging or otherwise damaging the battery) and are suitable for all types of lead-acid batteries including sealed, maintenance-free, GEL, AGM and sealed lead acid (SLA) etc.
Battery maintainers are ideal for keeping batteries fitted to vehicles that are left idle for long periods (i.e. motorcycles, classic cars, campervans, motorhomes etc.) in peak condition, but if you are intending to regularly charge batteries from a deep discharged state see the information below.
Please note that the battery charger output (i.e. the maximum amps the charger can deliver) should around 10% of the ampere hour (Ah) rating of the battery you intend charging to achieve full charge within a reasonable amount of time. Smaller output battery chargers can be used (within reason), but this will increase the charging time.
